Privacy Policy

Stanley (“Stanley,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a personal family-assistant application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Stanley you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in, we receive your basic profile information (such as your name and email address) so we can identify your account and the data that belongs to it.
• Content you create. Information you enter into Stanley — such as household details, chores, rewards, shopping lists, calendar entries, and messages — is stored so the app can function.
• Google account data. If you connect a Google account, we access only the data covered by the permissions you grant during sign-in (see below).

Google user data

When you connect your Google account, Stanley requests the following OAuth scopes:

• Identity (openid, email). Used to identify you and to label which Google account you connected.
• Google Calendar (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar). Used to read and write calendar events on your behalf so Stanley can display your schedule and add or update events you ask it to manage.

Stanley’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use Google user data to provide and improve the features you request, and we do not transfer or sell this data to third parties for advertising, market research, or any unrelated purpose.

How we use your information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the app’s features.
• To sync and display your calendar and household information.
• To respond to your requests and to support and secure the app.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the app (for example, hosting and database infrastructure), and only to the extent needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may disconnect your Google account at any time from your Google account permissions page, which revokes Stanley’s access. Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

Stanley is intended to be operated by adults managing a household. Information about children entered by a parent or guardian is treated as that household’s content and is subject to this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
